Sadhak Basudeb Paramahansadeb
Matri Sadhak Basudeb is a unique name among saints in traditional Hinduism. He was born on April 2, 1942 in the house of Radhanath Chattopadhyay in Jamalpur, Bihar. In 1950, at the age of eight, his spiritual pursuit began at the Munger crematorium. After coming to Calcutta, he obtained an engineering degree in electronics with honors from Roorkee Engineering College. But he was not satisfied with external achievements.
So in 1962 he started Sadhana in Manasarovar on the way to Himalayas and in 1964 he came down to the plains on the orders of his mother and miraculously got his initiation. That same year, he received the grace of Sri Bamdeb Thakur (Tarapeeth Bhairav Sri Sri Bamakhyapa), Mahavataar Sri Sri Raamakrishna Paramhansa Dev and Sri Sri Trailangaswami (Chalanto Bhairab of Kashi Dham) while doing sadhana in Swargodwar Burning Ghat of Puri, Odisha. Till 1972 he keeps searching for the path to see and feel the divine power of holy mother Maa Bagalamukhi. Then Baba Basudeb took sannyas from birth mother Amala Devi. After Sannyas, reached Kashi Dham for Sadhana and from there to Nepal. During his sadhana at Bhatmeswar Burning Ghat in Nepal, he learned Tantra from Dr. Ramnath Aghori with various techniques of Tantra including Aghore Vidya. Baba Basudeb was the closest disciple of Ramnath Aghori, sitting on his lap and learned esoteric knowledge of Tantra from him.
It is noted that Yogi Sadhak Basudeb was a successful engineer as well as a successful painter, instrumentalist, lyricist, composer, poet and singer. That is, countless songs and poems written by him, which are widely circulated among the fans of the country and abroad. At the same time, he also wrote numerous books, such as Holy voice of Basudeb, Badri, Bandiveena, Maa, Mahanishar Shmshanne Shmshanne, Mahalaya Ma, Ek Tara, Bamapeeth Tarapeeth etc., which are known today as an invaluable gem. His main aim was to spread matri sudha everywhere through life service. Just as the devotees of the country and abroad continue to spread Matrinaam by prioritizing that wish of the gracious, they are also keeping the wish of the father alive through Jiva Seva.
In 1992, Matrisadhak Basudeb, at the age of 50, played the heavenly melody heard in that Manas Sarovar on Rudrabina and many devotees sang Narnari and later recorded it on cassette. Divya presented this divine tune in sixteen cassettes. He has repeatedly expressed this firm belief that all the difficult and incurable diseases of the human body can be cured by listening to the Mahadivya melody of this composer for some time every day. His novel 'Music Therapy' has created a great stir in the country and abroad. Many prominent doctors and scientists in Europe and America are doing deep research on this music therapy of Vasudev Paramahamsa. His local and foreign disciples and devotees are also spreading this great creation. Especially his disciple Margaret Mataji, the Italian mother, took great initiative in this regard.
Saint Basudeb taught mother worship to his disciple devotees with simple faith and unostentatious bhakti raas, creating a simple system of heron worship. Most of the time he ran to different parts of India including abroad (Italy, England, America) to call disciples, and sometimes he reached a secluded mountain cave, hidden from the eyes of people, with Kali-Tara and Bagala. Mahamaya has established Baglamukhi in different parts of India, and has spread that immortal bliss among all.
